Microneedling (also called collagen induction therapy / CIT) is a treatment where microscopic needles create controlled micro-wounds in the skin. These trigger the body's healing process and stimulate the production of collagen and elastin – making the skin firmer, smoother, and more radiant.
Microneedling works great for acne scars, fine lines, large pores, uneven skin tone, hyperpigmentation (melasma, age spots), striae (stretch marks), and loss of skin firmness. It is also effective as a preventive skin rejuvenation treatment.
Acne scars and deeper problems: 3–6 treatments 4 weeks apart. Skin rejuvenation and fine lines: 3 treatments are standard. Maintenance: 2–3 treatments per year. We always recommend a course of treatments for the best results – a single treatment will provide improvement but not a full result.
Immediate: Glow effect after 1 week. Visible result: after the first treatment (week 4–6). Full result from a course of treatment: 3 months after the last treatment (collagen continues to build).
Mild discomfort – we apply numbing cream for 20 minutes beforehand, so most people describe it as a mild tingling or stinging sensation, not painful. The area may feel warm during the treatment.
The consultation is always free of charge. Indicative prices: 1 facial treatment SEK 1,995, course of 3 treatments SEK 4,995 (save SEK 990), course of 6 treatments SEK 8,995 (save SEK 2,975). Add-ons: PRP (vampire facelift) +SEK 1,500, hyaluronic booster +SEK 800. The exact price will be determined at the consultation.
Microneedling stimulates collagen production using microneedles. PRP (vampire facelift) involves drawing a small amount of your own blood, separating the platelets (PRP), and massaging them into the skin during microneedling. The combination yields results that are 2–3 times more potent – especially effective for acne scars and pronounced aging.
Microneedling works through mechanical stimulation of collagen – suitable for most skin types. Chemical peels work through acids that loosen outer skin layers – more aggressive against pigmentation but require a longer downtime. We often combine both in a comprehensive plan.
Mild and temporary – redness 1–3 days (like a mild sunburn), light flaking on days 2–4, possibly mild swelling during the first day. Serious side effects are extremely rare when performed by licensed professionals.
