Permanent laser hair removal
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
How does permanent laser hair removal work?
The laser emits a concentrated light that is absorbed by the pigment in the hair shaft. The light is converted into heat, which destroys the hair follicle so that no new hair can grow.
How many treatments are needed for a permanent result?
Typically, 6 to 8 treatments are required. This is because the laser only targets hairs that are in the active growth phase, and not all hair follicles are active at the same time.
Does laser hair removal hurt?
Our modern laser equipment has a built-in and advanced cooling system that protects the skin and minimizes discomfort. Most people experience the treatment as a slight stinging or warm sensation, but it is largely pain-free.
Which areas of the body can be treated?
We can treat almost all areas of the body and face. The most common areas are legs, armpits, bikini line, back, chest, upper lip, and chin.

Our machine can treat most skin types, from light to dark skin. However, the hairs must contain pigment (colour) for the laser to work, which means that completely white, grey, or very light red hairs cannot be treated.
What do I need to consider before my treatment?
You should shave the area thoroughly the day before your visit. You must not wax, pluck, or bleach your hair during the last four weeks, and the skin must not be sunburnt or treated with self-tanner.
What should I keep in mind after the treatment?
The skin may be slightly red and sensitive to heat immediately afterwards. Avoid strenuous exercise, hot baths, saunas, and perfumed products during the first 24 hours, and always use high sun protection factor (SPF 50) if the area is exposed to the sun.
How much time must pass between each treatment session?
An interval of 4 to 8 weeks between treatments is usually required, depending on the area being treated. This is done to target the next batch of hair follicles in their active growth phase.
Is Luxybelle a safe clinic for laser treatments?
